Savory Pizza Rolls (Vegan)

Crispy, aromatic & Mediterranean – with garlic, herbs and olive oil.

Preparation

1. Prepare the dough:
Combine flour, dry yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add 150 ml of lukewarm water and mix until a smooth dough forms.

2. Let the dough rise:
Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, until doubled in size.

3. Preheat the oven:
About 15 minutes before the end of the rising time, preheat the oven to 250 °C / 480 °F (top & bottom heat).

4. Mix the herb oil:
Peel and finely chop the garlic. Mix with oregano, rosemary and olive oil in a small bowl.

5. Shape the flatbreads:
With floured hands, gently divide the dough into four pieces. Shape into small flatbreads and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Knead as little as possible.

6. Top & bake:
Prick the flatbreads several times with a fork, brush generously with the herb oil and bake on the middle rack for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy.

  • Extra flour for shaping
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp dried rosemary
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
